Vintage 2016 has been completed. It was a very successful vintage that started with some hot weather in December. Irrigation was the key to a quality crop this year. Although we ran out of water in our dams in January and town water was required for three weeks, good rainfall late in January helped see us through. New plantings of Shiraz and Pinot Gris are now beginning to fruit and gave us our best crops for these two varieties. All the fruit had great flavour when it was harvested.
